🐫🌍 Argument for the breeding of large camelids in France and Europe! 🌟🐪

On January 31, 2025, the French Camel Federation (FFC) participated in a major international event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the World Camelids Sports (WCS). The mission aimed to observe and support French jockeys while highlighting the place of women in this sport.
An observation and transmission mission
Mandated by the FFC, Aude Derflinger, captain of the French jockey team, followed the event in immersion, in particular by accompanying Coralie Viroulaud, French jockey of the ADCRC structure of Dubai in the competition.
This trip allowed:
- To observe the organization and the level of competition.
- To document the preparation of jockeys and dromedaries.
- To discuss with professionals in the sector on current techniques and regulations.
A focus on the performance of international female jockeys
Unfortunately, there were some last-minute setbacks during the race, including the disqualification of jockey Reem, following an erroneous declaration about the condition of her camel. A reminder that regulation and transparency are key elements of this sport.
